To discern, with the Pastor, a set of pastoral goals for the parish.
To evaluate existing programs and policies for their pastoral effectiveness.
To form community within itself as a sign and witness of unity for the larger parish community.
To promote communication and understanding among parish organizations and parishioners, the diocese, and the Universal Church.
To advise and counsel the Pastor on other pastoral matters which he brings to the Council.
To review the annual budget submitted by the Parish Finance Council and to make recommendations to the Pastor whose responsibility it is to approve the budget.
Much of the Council's work and efforts is accomplished through its various standing committees. They reflect a wide spectrum of parish life. The five committees are: Liturgy, Christian Formation, Social Concerns, Parish and Family Life, and Building, Grounds & Maintenance.
The Parish Council meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, September through June.
