In his writings, Fr. McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus, projected each local Council as a social and charitable arm of the parish in which it is located. With that in mind, the Saint Joan of Arc Council, with members from both St. Benedicts and St. Elizabeth's Churches, was charted in 1997.
The local council meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 7:30 pm in the Parish Hall. Meetings are open to only those men who have been properly introduced to the rituals of the Knights of Columbus order. Members work to assist the parish in five general areas of activity: Church, Community, Council, Family and Youth.
Knights of Columbus Membership provides the opportunity to build leadership capabilities, develop and sharpen organization and interpersonal skills, and opportunities for the entire family to benefit from programs related to insurance, educational assistance and many fraternal activities.
